縛道
Literally: When philosophy enters, a path emerges.
Just as in other artistic crafts, when shibari is infused with a philosophical background—when it transcends—it becomes "Bakudo" (the Way of Binding).
A path with no doors: anyone can start walking it at any time, and they can also leave it whenever they wish.
There is no superior or inferior, nor any discrimination; the possibilities are infinite.
In Yagami Ryu, one of the mantras we repeat is that "there are no doors," both participants are on the same level, we are all on the same level, with no privileges or hierarchy.
Everyone is welcome and embraced if they want to walk the path of learning this style, and everyone is free to abandon it when they feel it's their time to do so.
