胡座縛り
A shibari technique in which the tied person sits on the floor in the agura position, with their legs typically restricted by counter-tensions.
The agura posture involves deep hip flexion along with thigh abduction and external rotation.
The knees are bent until the ankles cross in front of the body, with the soles of the feet facing upward, allowing the knees to rest on the floor.
In Japanese tradition, this sitting style represents the informal counterpart to the more ceremonial seiza.
During the Edo period, women were forbidden from sitting this way, as it was considered improper due to the exposure of the legs.
